The library · Brief builder

Write a brief for your agent.

Record the task, context, boundaries and checks in a brief.md file. The builder helps you identify missing decisions before handing the work to an agent, so the finished result can be reviewed against the same instructions.

Give one session one job

Describe one job in a sentence or two, with a result you can judge when it comes back.

Say why the job matters now; include the customer’s or client’s words when they affect the decision.

Give paths to the PRD, decisions and code the job depends on, one per line.

Name what’s in, what’s out and any files another session is changing.

Name the port, data and evidence, one check per line; vague wording and missing numbers get flagged.

One command per line, exactly as you’d run it.

Name actions the agent must not take, such as committing, pushing, deploying or using live keys.

Ask for the result, the evidence and anything still open, in the format you’ll review.
